Aron Toman is Pro-Military, but Anti-War. Being raised in a military household, Aaron clearly recognizes the importance and sacrifices of our military personnel and their families. Aaron believes that a strong military is essential to defending our country, however, we should not be sacrificing our military members acting as the "world's police" or as "pawns" for the elite to use in their "games of war". Aaron Toman believes that in the short term, Marijuana and Psychedelics at a MINIMUM, both need to be reclassified from a Schedule I Controlled Substance to Schedule IV, with outright nationwide legalization being the preferred outcome. Aaron believes this is the first and easiest step towards reversing the "War on Drugs" policies that has plagued this nation with negative impacts for decades. In the long term, Aaron believes that both Marijuana and Psychedelics need to be removed from the Controlled Substances Schedule completely by repealing the 1971 Controlled Substances Act (PL 91-513), removing federal control and returning control back to the individual states where it belongs. Aaron Toman is Pro-State Choice in regards to education. Aaron believes that the Federal Department of Education has failed the children of our nation and needs to be abolished to return educational rights to the states and the specific states' Department of Education. Learn more
By abolishing the Federal Department of Education, it frees states to decide how education will work to best prepare students for jobs within those states. New models of education will immerge from states and private ventures which will hopefully transform education as a whole into something beneficial for students in the 21st century. In conclusion, Aaron would vote for abolishing the federal DOE and would vote against most other education related bills as the federal government should not be making these decisions for the individual states. Aaron Toman is Pro-"Legal Immigration" with a "closed border" policy in place. Learn more
When voting on bills related to Immigration, I'll vote against both opening and closing the border, unless it is done in a way that fixes the underlining issues. Learn more
We need to make it easy for people to immigrate back and forth again with work visas, which would no longer require immigrant workers to hide in within our country illegally to continue to have access to good paying work, as they know they can enter legally each year through work visas without complication.
