Get StartedShall the Monroe County Fairview Funding millage which expired after the tax collections in 2019 be renewed in accordance with the tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Michigan of 1963, such that the County of Monroe be authorized to levy up to 0.20 mills ($0.20 per $1,000.00 of taxable valuation, as finally equalized), upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the County of Monroe, Michigan, the annual amount spread to be determined annually by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, for a period of ten (10) years, from 2020 through 2029, both inclusive, for the purpose of providing funding for operating, equipping, furnishing, maintaining and/or upgrading the Monroe County Fairview program, to provide care and transitional shelter for people with disabilities who have become homeless? The estimated revenue for the first year of the levy, if approved and levied in its entirety, shall be $1,310,000.00.
