MINIDOKA COUNTY IDAHO EXCLUDING THE CITY OF BURLEY BALLOT QUESTION - PROPOSED LIBRARY DISTRICT LEVY

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: A proposed property tax levy in the amount of Nine Hundred and Ninety Thousand, Five Hundred and Ninety-Three Dollars and Thirteen Cents ($990,593.13) is for the purpose of paying all lawful expenses of maintaining and operating the proposed Minidoka Library District for an improved patron experience and for the benefit of patrons. The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer of the proposed levy, in the form of a tax of Nine dollars and ninety-one cents ($9.91) per one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) of taxable assessed value, per year until dissolved, based on the current conditions, commencing with the fiscal budgeting year beginning October 1, 2025, i.e. TAX YEAR 2025. The new levy amount derived from .04% of assessed taxable value shall be the base budget. QUESTION: SHALL THE PROPOSED COUNTY WIDE LIBRARY DISTRICT, EXCLUDING THE CITY OF BURLEY, LOCATED IN MINIDOKA COUNTY, BE CREATED AND EMPOWERED TO LEVY UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN MINIDOKA COUNTY AN AMOUNT OF NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY-THREE DOLLARS AND THIRTEEN CENTS ($990,593.13), FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING FOR THE CREATION, AND MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS OF THE PROPOSED MINIDOKA LIBRARY DISTRICT?
