Get StartedFor the sole purpose of supporting continued operations of senior citizens services through the Commission on Aging within Osceola County, shall the Constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all property within the County of Osceola, Michigan, imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution, be increased, and shall the County be authorized to levy, up to 0.5 of one mill ($.50 per $1,000 of Taxable Value) for a period of two (2) years, 2024 through 2025, inclusive? If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $489,697.42 for supporting continued operations of senior citizens services through the Commission on Aging within Osceola County in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value. This millage is in addition to the levy of one (1) mill already previously approved by the voters in 2020 for the years 2020 – 2025, rolled back to .9879 mills, which is expected to raise an estimated $967,544.16 in 2024. As required by law, a portion of the millage may also be disbursed to the Downtown Development Authority of Richmond Township.
