Get StartedFor the purpose of funding essential 9-1-1 emergency services in Gratiot County, to ensure the continued operation and enhancement of 9-1-1 services, telephone answering, and dispatch services within Gratiot County, including facilities, equipment, maintenance, and operating costs, shall the constitutional limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all property within the County of Gratiot, Michigan, be increased by the rate of up to 0.60 of one (1) mill ($0.60 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of six (6) years, 2024 through 2029, inclusive? If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $1,194,935.40 for providing essential technology and operations of the Gratiot County Central Dispatch 9-1-1 Center in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value. As required by State law, a small portion of the millage may be captured by the Downtown Development Authority of the City of St. Louis; and the Brownfield Redevelopment Authorities of Gratiot County, the Cities of Alma and St. Louis, the Village of Ashley, and the Township of Elba.
