Get StartedThis resolution imposes a retail transactions and use tax at the rate of one-eight of one percent (0.125%) within the City and County of San Francisco, and the Counties of San Mateo and Santa Clara. It also sets a maximum term of 30 years during which time the retail transactions and use tax shall be imposed. The resolution requires that the proceeds of the tax be for the operating and capital purposes of the Caltrain rail service.
