Question 1 - GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ELECTION FIRE STATION 4 PROJECT

For the purpose of paying costs of designing, constructing, furnishing, and equipping a fourth fire station and related improvements and costs, and paying costs associated with the sale and issuance of the bonds, shall the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana (the "City") be authorized to sell and issue general obligation bonds of the City in one or more series in a total principal amount of up to Eighteen Million and No/100 Dollars ($18,000,000.00) bearing interest at rates to be determined at the time of sale, payable semiannually over a term not to exceed twenty years for each series of bonds? If this bond proposition passes, it is estimated that property taxes on a home with an assessed market value for tax purposes of $100,000 would increase by $7.88 in the first year, of $300,000 would increase by $23.64 in the first year, and of $600,000 would increase by $47.28 in the first year. An increase in property taxes may lead to an increase in rental costs.
