Question 1B - Property Tax Levy Reallocation

Authorizing a property tax levy reallocation for the purchase and construction of affordable or workforce housing from the 2001 voter authorized one and a half (1.5) Mill Levy for Parks and Open Space. Without raising taxes or tax rates, shall the current one and a half (1.5) mills of San Miguel County property taxes dedicated for Parks and Open Space be reallocated such that one (1.0) mill shall continue to be allocated for Parks and Open Space; and the other one half (0.5) mill shall be reallocated to a dedicated fund to be used for affordable housing purposes including administration, financing, purchasing, developing, constructing and otherwise providing affordable housing programs for the purchase and development of affordable or workforce housing beginning January 1, 2025, and shall the revenues be collected and spent as a voter-approved revenue change.
