New Iberia: Question 2 - Property Tax Levy for Infrastructure

Shall the City of New Iberia, State of Louisiana (the "City"), levy a special tax of six and eighty-three hundredths (6.83) mills on all of the property subject to taxation in the City for a period of twenty (20) years, beginning with the year 2023 and ending with the year 2042 (an estimated $1,350,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for the purpose of constructing, improving, and maintaining public roads, streets, and bridges, including drainage works, landscaping, and other improvements associated therewith, and acquiring access and rights of way for each of the foregoing?
