Question 2 - Veteran Affairs Millage Proposal

Shall the limitation upon the total amount of the general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and tangible personal property for all purposes in any one year under the Michigan Constitution be increased in the County of Delta, Michigan by 0.10 mills (which is equal to $0.10 per $1,000.00 taxable value of all such property) for a period of five (5) years, 2025 to 2029 inclusive, for the purpose of funding, equipping, staffing, maintaining and operating a County Department of Veterans Affairs to provide relief, support, and assistance services to all qualified veterans, their eligible spouses and families as authorized under PA 192 of 1953 and to be administered and operated under the guidelines set forth under PA 192 of 1953? The amount of the revenue the County will collect if the millage is approved and levied by the county in the first calendar year is estimated to be $150,000. The proposed millage is a new additional millage, the revenue from which would be distributed to the County
