Get StartedSpecial election to authorize additional levies for the fiscal years beginning on July 1, 2023, July 1, 2024, July 1, 2025, July 1, 2026, and July 1, 2027 for Putnam County Emergency Medical Services in the amount of $1,200,486.80 annually and $6,002,434.00 during the term of the levy; and Putnam County Fire/Rescue Services in the amount of $1,800,730.20 annually and $9,003,651.00 during the term of the levy according to the Order of the Putnam County Commission entered on the 30th day of August, 2022. The additional levy shall be on Class I property $0.03 cents per $100.00 of assessed valuation; on Class II property $0.06 cents per $100.00 of assessed valuation; on Class III property $0.12 cents per $100.00 of assessed valuation; and Class IV property $0.12 cents per $100.00 of assessed valuation. In the event the separate and aggregate assessed value of each class of taxable property increases during the term of the special excess levy, the county levy rate will be adjusted so that the projected tax collection will not exceed $3,500,000.00 None of the funds generated by the excess levy, if approved, will be used for any purposes other than those approved by the voters.
