SPLOST -

Shall a special one percent local option sales and use tax ("the SPLOST") be imposed in the special district of Webster County for a period of time not to exceed five (5) years and for the raising of an estimated amount of $975,000 for the purpose of funding capital outlay projects (the "Projects") specified in the form of the ballot set forth below. (a) Equipment, including but not limited to: emergency vehicles, such as an ambulance, fire trucks, patrol vehicles, road maintenance equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, trucks, paving equipment; communications equipment; electronic equipment. (b) Roads including but not limited to: paying for resurfacing of local roads and steets; capital repair of local roads and streets; paving of local roads and streets; graveling of dirt roads; right-of-way acquisition fees, including the cost of surveying; engineering fees associated with designing roads; and any other fees and expenses related to capital road improvements. (c) and, including but not limited to; land for right-of-way, land upon which to build fire stations, a road maintenance shop, solid waste handling facilities, land for a borrow pit.(d) Buildings, including but not limited to; fire stations, maintenance shop, motor dispensing facility, renocation and capital repair or expansion of any public building owned. (e) Public infrastructure, including but not limited to: the construction or capital maintenance of any way or sewer facilities, now or hereafter owned.
