In addition to general improvements, I'd like to introduce a bulk waste cleanup program that would occur in the spring and/or fall. Residents would be able to put items they'd like to get rid of on the curb during a designated week, and the city would come to pick them up. Learn more
I would argue that Ogden has the most beautiful scenery in the state. I'd even say that we have better access to the outdoors than Salt Lake or Utah County. Salt Lake County benefits from being the capital of the state and Utah County benefits from being the tech hub of the state. I believe it's time that we benefit from what we do best, nature. Housing can be a hot topic these days. The fact is that we do not have enough housing for the number of residents that need it. It may sound counter-intuitive but by building more housing we will lower the cost of housing. When the supply is plentiful, people can choose their price point instead of builders choosing the price point. Learn more
Ogden is in a unique position where no major changes need to be made to improve transportation. This will only continue to be the case if we make good decisions on future transportation projects. We also have a large population that relies on having a safe bike route to get to school, work, and shop for their household. Learn more
Water is a necessity. By changing how we use water, we can do more than just conserve the resource, we can have an abundant supply to support current residents and future growth. With these changes, we can avoid having to raise the price of water. Learn more
