I support the San Francisco Workforce Education Reinvestment in Community Success Act (SF WERCS) and state funding models friendly to large urban community colleges. In addition to working creatively and aggressively for new revenue sources, we must invest in marketing and outreach in order to grow enrollment, which remains the college’s main source of revenue. We must ensure that as students and employees return to campus the buildings are properly ventilated and that mask and vaccination mandates are enforced. Learn more

I will work to make CCSF a college community dedicated to promoting eco-friendly practices, from promoting greener choices to the maintenance and construction of our buildings. We must respect staff and compensate them as necessary when we upgrade the college. Learn more

We must continue to serve everyone: workers seeking vocational training, students transferring to four year universities, and immigrants pursuing language acquisition. We must promote cultural enrichment, civic engagement, and lifelong learning. Learn more

Student success is based on accessible services starting with user-friendly registration and counseling for both credit and noncredit students. We must ensure reliable technology and Internet access for all students. Learn more

We must hire more full-time Black and brown faculty. The college community needs to engage in frank, ongoing conversations about systemic racism and how City College can address it through expanded course offerings, fair hiring practices, and a culture of respect. Learn more

We need a balanced budget developed through a transparent and inclusive process, including all stakeholders—students, faculty, staff, and administrators. We cannot rely on cutting classes to balance the budget. Learn more
