The issue has become a talking point for the past ten years. Rural broadband is an issue that affects our quality of life, education, economic development, and healthcare needs. As your State Representative, I will work with the Public Service Commission, Electric Membership Corporation, Internet Service Provider, and legislators to come up with a comprehensive plan to provide quality internet to rural Georgia. As a former employee of an Internet Service Provider and resident of an area that receives a max speed of 4mbps, I understand the plight of both the commercial and residential side.
