Get StartedWe need to focus on jobs here in our community. Not only do we need to attract companies here and create jobs, but also ensure we have good paying jobs in Davidson County. Tennessee is one of the best states for job creation in the country, and we need to ensure that we keep on this track. At the same time, we need more jobs that will help families, with good salaries to ensure that you can raise a family of four (or five, or six) in this economy. We have to continue to work towards equipping everyone with the skills and tools to enter the workforce, including manufacturing and production jobs that keep our community moving forward. Small businesses are the backbone of our community and our state. We need to continue to cut the red tape and regulations. Learn more
It’s easy to say that “children are our future”, but it’s true. We need to ensure that our students are prepared to enter the workforce and have all the resources they need in order to do so. We have to continue to invest in vocational and technical education so that every student graduating from high school is ready to do whatever he or she wants to do. Parents know what is best for their children, and as a father and grandfather, I know how important it is to have parents involved in education. We have to work together as a community to guarantee that our local schools are the best in the state, making sure that every student receives the best education possible. Learn more
Davidson County, and the larger Nashville area, is growing, and as a result our roads are being used more than ever before. I fundamentally believe that we need to improve our streets, highways, and walkways. It shouldn’t take an hour to get from Old Hickory to downtown, and you shouldn’t get a flat tire from a pothole on the way. As we continue to grow, we need to continue to work on real solutions that empower our community. Learn more
