Fixing and Restructuring of the Michigan Loan Program for Undergraduate Students. Reintroducing the partially-subsidized loan program for Michigan Students will not only generate revenue for the city in interests, but give in-state students a partially subsidized option to finance their education. Statewide Public Service Loan Forgiveness for public servants--including teachers. As a means of recruiting, training, and retaining educational professionals, I will work to develop a program for the State of Michigan to institute a grant program for teachers seeking loan forgiveness. Learn more

Development of state-sponsored pipeline for educational administrators A pipeline program for education administrators will develop a more suited workforce for our children and young people. This program will help these educators earn a graduate degree in Educational Administration or a related degree, tuition remission, and mandatory public service in Michigan school districts for five years. We can support them by: Expanding the Healthy Michigan Plan Implementing a state-mandated increase in social worker’s salaries Reintroduction of HB 6137 – An Act for Loan Forgiveness for Social Workers Giving social workers college-debt relief in proportion to their time spent as a Michigan caseworker.
