Get StartedI believe that women should have full bodily autonomy. For to long the Republican Party have treated women like objects and it is time we stop them. I believe that women should have access to any healthcare including access to abortion. I believe we need to fund organizations like Planned Parenthood so women can get the care they need. If the Republican Party is allowed to continue enacting stringent Anti-Abortion laws many people will die. It must be said this way, as we are already experiencing the effects of the laws that have already been passed. I am sorry that things are already as bad as they are. I vow to use my platform to help uplift the voices of the Women of Tennessee. I ask for your support so I can help change Tennessee blue and protect Women’s Rights. Learn more
Ibelieve that everyone should feel safe, valued, and protected. I will fight to make sure that everyone has a voice. I will make sure that the violence directed at you is ended. No one should be made to feel at risk for just simply existing. You should feel safe going out and being who you are. I will protect your rights and I will work to end any legislation that has already passed. We must work to end the stigma that the right has painted over this community. You must be given the chance to do everything any other couple can do including adoption. Learn more
I believe it is way past time to legalize Cannabis here in TN. Since 2014 Colorado has brought in almost 15 BILLION dollars in revenue. We have plenty of space and our climate would lead to an excellent product. It would bring in tourism which brings in money and can help family-owned stores. I believe we need to release and expunge the records of Non-violent Cannabis offenders. We need to make sure the police do not overstep and try to attack headshops that follow the law. I believe legalization will help cut down on the opioid crisis, doctors who are allowed to substitute a cannabis prescription can help reduce the need for pills and other narcotics. By legalizing cannabis we can reduce the amount of Meth and other hardcore drugs that plague this state. Learn more
Our school children should be focused on learning and having fun in school. Instead, they face fears no child should have to deal with. Where most stress should come from grades and tests, a shadow lingers over every school system. It is not a matter of IF there will be another school shooting but when and where it will happen. I do not believe in arming teachers or hiring vets to patrol schools, neither of these groups should have to face the possibility of shooting a child. It would be better to focus on being preemptive rather than reactive. I believe we should hire Mental Health Professionals at the District level. We need teachers and students to know that they have a reliable source if they need help, or if they notice anything that may lead to a situation. I also believe in gun legislation. When I say this, I want to stress that I will not support any legislation that seeks to take guns away from law-abiding gun owners. I don’t care what types you may possess, as you already own them, I see no way the Government has the right to take them from you. I wish to help ban or heavily strict things like Automatic weapons. Again, this leaves those who already have them be. I believe safety storage laws need to be implemented as they have many safes with features that should not affect the time needed to gain access to the weapon if needed. This is to ensure that kids have as little chance to access a firearm as possible. I believe we should also establish punishments for parents of kids who commit shootings. Thus, adding more importance to parents of proper gun safety. Learn more
