Get StartedA compassionate human being, I will lead with a common sense policy agenda with accountability as the foundation. I have a proven track record of successful innovative partnerships benefiting the constituents living in Los Angeles County Council Districts 8, 9, 10 and 11, all included in Supervisor District 2. My top platform priorities include: Public Safety, Reform Prop 47, Infrastructure Protection and Elder Care. Learn more
Law enforcement partnerships will also help with the implementation of compassionate common sense policies addressing homeless constituent mental health and drug addiction treatment and out of control RV encampments. These three public safety emergencies are impacting all of Los Angeles County. Learn more
Crime is out of control in Los Angeles County. As your Los Angles County Supervisor representing District 2 my top priority will focus on improving Public Safety for all constituents. Business owners are suffering due to ''smash & grab'' robberies. Jails and sidewalks aren't the safest alternatives for the unhoused. Too many LA County residents don't feel safe in their communities due to the rise in crime. Going to the grocery store shouldn't cost $2,381.00 because someone decides to steal your catalytic converter. Enough is enough! I am committed to partnering with District 2 constituents, all LA County law enforcement agencies and homeless prevention organizations to collaboratively improve public safety. Learn more
I would reverse L.A. County’s Housing First priority and lobby to amend Senate Bill 1380. The 2016 bill, authored by Supervisor Holly Mitchell during her time in the California State Senate, offers services as needed and requested on a voluntary basis and doesn’t not make participation in services mandatory in order to receive housing. Program services should be mandatory. This eight year old strategy isn’t working in Los Angeles County. Amending this section of the Housing First Senate Bill 1380 would better serve the unhoused and the communities where homeless individuals sleep on the streets or in RV encampments. My parents, both deceased, battled drug addiction and housing first without mandatory treatment didn’t work. LA County’s Housing First agenda isn’t working. The L.A. County directive asking legislative advocates in Sacrament to oppose any bills that may cease the Housing First Model creates a road block to amending the Bill. Learn more
