As the candidate for democratically elected representative to the House of Representatives of the united States, it is my proposal that we return the power to declare war (and within any sensible understanding, initiate and commit military force) to the Constitutionally defined responsibility of the Congress. War Powers belong to the Congress. Delegation of War Powers to the President is wrongheaded. The power to declare war, and therefore also to refrain from such violence is a power given to the Congress in Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11. It is dangerous (and intellectually impossible to defend) to delegate this power to the President, or any other body. The fiction that it is legitimate to do so must be laid to rest by the people. we do not need to tax to generate revenue for government spending. Taxation has only two legitimate purposes: the extraction of money from the economy to reduce the money supply; second, to impede, impair, slow, or halt economic activity. This second purpose may be unwise. Learn more
The evidence is overwhelming. We need Universal Basic Income. TED talks, and much older sources make plain the value of such a plan. The most avoided question, in my opinion, is how we should fund UBI. That requires that we understand how we create money, and how to know how much money we need. Learn more
