Debbie supports the City’s goals to strategically increase Missing Middle Housing options in all parts of the city to increase supply and lower costs. Learn more
We also need to clean up and speed up our zoning, permitting, and code process to ensure that you can make money by building housing of all types — because if we’re not bringing the private sector into the solution, we’re not going to solve this problem in Knoxville. Learn more
And lastly, Debbie will work to harness the full power of public and private partnerships to increase housing options, such as Knoxville’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, which has leveraged millions in federal and private funds to deliver 1,200 affordable housing units to date. Learn more

Debbie will work to develop both permanent and temporary housing options with the services needed by our most vulnerable neighbors — that includes working to deliver state and federal funds to bring permanent supporting housing to better serve those in need. Learn more

Debbie’s top priority will be to ensure the city is delivering effective and reliable services such as streetlights, curbside trash pick-up, and recycling more reliable. On City Council, Debbie will with with KPD to reduce barriers to women and people of color entering and staying in law enforcement by partnering with KPD to expand family-friendly policies and resources like childcare access and job-sharing arrangements, that support officers in balancing the demands of the job and the needs of their families.
