Get StartedIn 2019, Democrats opened the session with the promise of fighting for better public education funding for all. Republicans countered by nearly gutting our public education system and giving it all to school I will lead the fight to make sure our teachers receive better pay, make our school systems more equitable, so the most disadvantaged students in Missouri don't miss out on options available to the most privileged. I will fight to make sure our public education system improves and work with colleges to ensure students have access to lower tuition and quality options for community colleges and technical schools. Our planet is in crisis. If we want our children and grandchildren to have a chance at a secure future, then we have to act on climate change immediately. In 2018 alone, the Midwest faced record floods, destructive tornadoes, and crop failure. Unless we act to save the environment, our borrowed time will run out. Learn more

As one of 14 states that have so far refused this help, we have seen more people uninsured and unable to receive the medical coverage they deserve. On the dias in the house, the words "Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law" are emblazoned. We need to bring those values off of the dias and back into our communities. We need to make sure that everyone in Missouri, no matter who they are, have access to healthcare in Missouri. We need to make sure that people can live their lives without going into bankruptcy to stay alive. Learn more
The poverty and homeless rates in Springfield are twice as high as the national average. Too many of our neighbors are working for starvation wages trying to figure out how to keep a roof over their heads and their family fed. Missourians passed a minimum wage increase in 2018, one that our legislature tried to gut. I want to make sure everyone in Missouri makes a living wage, and that our economy works for the people, not just those at the very top. Learn more
