Gabe believes that education is the path to better employment opportunities, and to that end, he supports fully funding the HOPE scholarship, restoring the harmful cuts from the last decade, and creating pathways for more Georgians to pursue higher education, trade school, and apprenticeship programs. Gabe will work to fully fund our public schools updating our outdated QBE formula, increase teacher pay, and work on legislation to improve services in our schools including mental healthcare. Learn more
Gabe will pursue an audit of state government contracting and operations, and advocate for policies that hold those who damage the public trust accountable. Learn more
Expanding Medicaid to cover more families in our community and pursuing policies that will expand access to healthcare for everyone in Georgia is a top priority. Gabe supports policies that will lower the costs of insurance, medical treatment, and prescription drugs, and he believes healthcare should be comprehensive, including mental health care, and dental and vision care. He supports creating good jobs here in Georgia, raising the minimum wage to at least 15 an hour, the rights of labor to organize in the workplace, and lowering the tax burden on working and middle class families while ensuring large corporations and the top 1% pay their fair share and can’t use tax loopholes only they have access to. He will also champion paid family and sick leave for every Georgian, a tax credit to help cover childcare expenses, hold the Labor department accountable for issues processing unemployment benefits that Georgians have earned, and long term gas tax relief and electric vehicle tax credits. Learn more
