Legislation authorizing an audit / review of the executive branch and its current regulatory bureaus, including a provision for periodic review of overall effectiveness or relevance, would improve Mississippians' quality of life by returning control of numerous issues to private, local, or state entities. I chose to run FOR Mississippi, so Mississippi will have an advocate for its people, not a bought-and-paid-for representative who focuses on money over their own people. Learn more

Healthcare

I would propose legislation to address escalating health care costs, lack of transparency in those costs, and regulations that act as barriers between patients and doctors. Healthcare is a complex issue, but less regulation, more competition and transparency in billing would all be steps in the right direction. Learn more

A single-payer healthcare system that passes tax dollars to the healthcare providers, and not to for-profit insurance companies that further profit by denying the care expected of them. Learn more

Have you ever heard about Interstate 14 also known as the 14th Amendment Highway? This was a proposed interstate highway that has started in Texas and is working its way across Louisiana and Mississippi. #This is where my fight will begin in the House. I believe that the creation and funding of this Interstate Highway System will not only stimulate growth for the Southwest region of our District but also stimulate the state economy by providing jobs and opportunity along the way.
