If elected, I would work both in the Assembly and with my local communities to help restore their identities as peacekeepers, rather than law enforcement. This would involve moving them away from policing for profit, and from spending time pursuing people for victimless crimes. I would also work to ensure that among their resources they are getting the most up to date and frequent training on a variety of topics, including firearm safety and qualification, conflict de-escalation, and community policing.
