Get StartedAs a state legislator, I would advocate for self-funding programs, that use no taxpayer dollars, to work with small business owners to help match people who want to work with jobs out there. This is how we give a voice to the voiceless. Learn more
When I get to Denver next January, I will remember the lessons I have learned and the people I have been around when making decisions. We as legislators need to remember it's not about us, it's about the people we represent! Just like the boys I've Mentored, I want all of Colorado to enjoy life. We need to make things business friendly so more individuals can enjoy the American dream. When it comes to our children, we need to teach life skills like taxes, budgeting, and reading contracts. We can put up a large education budget, but it seems it never goes to what is needed. I am a product of Vocational education. We don't need large vocational wings in every school, let's build them in convenient locations so all students can benefit in the surrounding areas. At night these could help adults learn new skills and give them space to design things. When we mentor our students correctly and afford them the space for creativity, they will build a great life for themselves and for Colorado. That is how we give them a voice. Learn more
We need to work together to come up with fixes for the problems affecting Colorado. For example: changing the curriculum in Colorado's schools. Why is This a highly volatile issue? We all agree we want our kids to succeed. So I would try to coral both sides of the aisle so they come into agreement. We need to teach life skills like doing taxes, budgeting, and taking out loans. Vocational schools are expensive, but necessary - it forever changed my life when I learned how to use my hands to make something. We don't need these programs at every High school - we just need to give students access to the training they need to succeed. By coming together and agreeing on good locations where everyone can benefit, we will build a Colorado we can be proud of. These are common sense ideas everyone can agree on for the better good of our state. Learn more
I don't want to raise taxes, I want to see some of the money we Coloradans already give to the state, make its way past E470, back to our community. Learn more
The gap project was meant to help ease the congestion by adding a third lane. The only thing I see that happened was the wealthy people who can afford the toll lane benefit, and the original two lanes are still just as congested. What was intended as something to benefit all of Colorado was made worse by legislators in Denver. See, most of the State Representatives live North of Castle Rock and South of Boulder between the mountains and Denver International. What that means is they focus all their money on roadways in the Denver Metro. I am not even sure if they know what is south of Castle Rock besides New Mexico. We are forgotten because no one is advocating to spend tax dollars in the rest of the state - it's time to lend my voice to the voiceless. I don't want to raise taxes, I want to see some of the money we Coloradans already give to the state, make its way past E470, back to our community. Learn more
