Drug Policy

We need a statewide database in Missouri available to doctors that contains patients and the prescriptions they have received. Medical staff could enter into the system every time a particular patient receives a prescription for opioid painkillers. Doctors would have access to this database to determine if patients are “doctor shopping” to get more drugs than are necessary. Learn more

Education

I support the idea of local school districts making the decision on whether or not to allow teachers and other school officials to carry. The state should authorize local school boards to make these decisions for themselves, as well as establish standards for training and qualifications. Learn more

We need to impose sanctions on China until the flow of Fentanyl stops. Learn more

Guns

I am calling for only one change to Missouri’s firearms laws. I do not believe that a citizen’s rights end when he or she leaves for work in the morning. Citizens of Missouri should be able to keep a firearm in a locked vehicle in the parking lot of their workplace, regardless of company policy. This already works in the case of public employees, and it should extend to those citizens who work for private companies as well. I do not want this at the Federal level, as I do not want to impose my views on the rest of the country as they should not impose their views on Missouri. Learn more
