I will support expanded background checks for all individual purchasing guns publicly or privately. I will advocate to prohibit hand gun possession until age 21. Furthermore, I will deny gun sales to individuals who have committed violent crimes or suffer from medical or mental health issues that cause a high degree of danger to their community or self. Increased mobile healthcare services and expanded local options all require additional emphasis to be placed on securing taxable revenue. Labor unions have changed my family's trajectory for three generations. My grandfathers were proud automobile makers in Flint, Michigan. They were able to receive competitive wages, improved working conditions, retirement and ultimately a degree of dignity as union workers.
