We have a crisis of housing affordability - housing costs are the single largest squeeze on residents of Northern Virginia, and Richmond and Hampton Roads lead the nation in eviction rates. Lee supports a wide variety of policies to lower the cost of housing, including cracking down on negligent landlords, expanding both personal and cooperative home ownership, and a public option for housing. Lee believes all of Virginia needs a world-class transit system, capable of providing for the Commonwealth's ever-growing population and reducing commute times. He supports increased funding for public transportation, and has consistently opposed new tolls.
