Get StartedI will be a fierce ally for woman and stand up to the unending attacks on our rights. Having the choice to decide when to have a family goes beyond just women’s bodily autonomy, it is the crux of our economic opportunity. With outsized childcare bills and workplaces that often penalize women for getting pregnant, making the choice to start a family is a economic imperative. Learn more
Every woman has the right to make her own choice about when to start a family. Access to safe reliable contraceptives is the best way for women to avoid unplanned pregnancies and control their futures. Learn more
We can and we must do better for the brave men and women who put everything on the line for our country. We must put renewed investment into the VA and community based organizations that aid with transitional housing, skills training, mental health services, and substance abuse programs. Learn more
We need an economy that works for all of us Learn more
I believe that we need to pave a path to debt-free college. In a competitive global economy, a college degree remains an essential ticket to the middle class, but for too many the cost of college makes it seem out of reach. For those who do attend, they are often left with crippling debt, which stifles our economy by preventing people from buying homes or saving for retirement. Learn more
In Congress, I would support increased federal investment in our public schools, and work with local lawmakers to ensure our schools are adequately funded. I also believe that early childhood education is critical for future success, which is why I support universal pre-K which has been shown to greatly improve a child’s chance of graduating both high school and college. We must work to improve our water quality and infrastructure, reduce nitrogen pollution in our waters, and mitigate brown tides. Protecting our drinking water from contamination, and cleaning up any groundwater contamination that already exists, such as the plume emanating from the Northrop Grumman plant in Bethpage, is critical. smarter and fairer trade deals Learn more
I support the agreement between the United States, Germany, France, Britain, Russia, Iran and China to block Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Learn more
we must recognize that climate change is not just an environmental and economic challenge, but a national security one as well. Our approach to climate change greatly affects our relationships around the world. Learn more
Rolling back Citizens United is just the first step. I will work towards public financing of elections so that candidates can spend more time out talking to voters and less time with lobbyists and hidden away dialing for dollars. Learn more
Weapons of war have no place in the hands of civilians. Assault weapons like the AR-15 are specifically designed to amplify carnage. Learn more
60% of Americans want to “expand Medicare to provide health insurance to every American,” and it’s time Congress fight for Americans, rather than the special interest groups that dominate health care in our country. I would support HR 676 Medicare for All. Health care is a human right. Learn more
I support the DREAM Act of 2017 – a clean DREAM Act that does not use immigrant youth as bargaining chips. There are 1,900 DACA recipients in NY02, and we must work to ensure that these children who only know America as their home get to continue to help make our country prosper. Learn more
I also support extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which grants legal permission to live and work in the United States to people from designated countries, due to conditions in the country that temporarily prevent them from safely returning. Learn more
We must work to improve our water quality and infrastructure Learn more
I unequivocally support bills that will protect environment which our Republican controlled House will not let reach the floor, such as H.R. 3533, which will better prepare coastal states like New York to have coherent response plans to climate change. Learn more
If we eliminated the inefficient tax subsidies that benefit the wealthy, we would raise revenue, reduce the deficit Learn more
We need to close the corporate tax loopholes and cut taxes for middle-class Americans Learn more
We must protect the rights of our hard working union brothers and sisters and stand up to corporate interest that want to end collective bargaining. We need to close the corporate tax loopholes and cut taxes for middle-class Americans – the actual job creators. Middle-class consumers create jobs. When working families thrive, businesses grow and hire. Learn more
The United States has no federal paid family leave policy. A distinction we share with only one other country in the world – Papua New Guinea. 1 in 4 American women returns to work just 10 days after giving birth. This is a health and human rights crisis, and our great country can and must do better. I will fight to change this for American women and children. Learn more
