Get StartedAs the Federal government continues to strip away the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, it is our responsibility to guarantee protections for members of the community in order for them to live securely and without fear. Massachusetts has always led in this area; now we must defend our beloved friends and neighbors and protect them from hate and harm. I support the fight to maintain protections for our trans community and hope you will join me in supporting them in November's ballot initiative. Learn more
While we enjoy the convenience of additional online services, we need to be increasingly cautious about how our data is being used -- and by whom. Many people, including our children and seniors, are online all day, and we need to feel secure that the information they share is safe. One of my priorities is to ensure that sensitive personal data is kept secure using the most efficient protocols. It is the responsibility of the Legislature to put in place regulations that keep our data secure. Learn more
We need to continue to provide high-quality education to our community's children and provide opportunities for them in all types of higher education, be it university or training in a trade. Regardless of the path our children choose, we need to ensure they are not saddled with massive debt and have opportunities to pursue fulfilling careers. In the Legislature, I would fight for Framingham to get its fair share of state funding to provide the best possible education for our children. This includes continued funding for arts education in addition to an increased focus on STEM education opportunities. Learn more
At the same time, the Legislature has a responsibility to protect consumers from massive rate hikes in energy and water, two vital necessities. I would work with the Department of Public Utilities and the Attorney General's office to ensure that our utilities are using fair, performance-based rate structures that benefit all consumers. I have spent my career fighting for access to clean, advanced energy and would continue to do so in the Legislature. Massachusetts faces dual looming crises: meeting our electricity demand in the face of closing assets all while combating the effect of climate change. I would fight against building out additional pipelines infrastructure and instead work to pass legislation to increase our use of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage to provide power at peak periods. I support automatic voter registration, day-of registration, ranked choice voting, and early voting -- but the Legislature must ensure the right kind of support is provided to cities and towns to implement the program and not create another unfunded mandate to be borne by cities. Learn more
No family in Framingham should have to choose between paying medical bills and putting food on the table. Providing access to affordable health care (and dental and vision care) through a single-payer program is a major priority for our district. . Learn more
The cost of living in Framingham is on the rise, and we are pricing our senior citizens out of our community. In the legislature, I will make it a priority to provide affordable pathways for our seniors to stay in their communities, surrounded by friends and loved ones. Learn more
I support the Safe Communities Act proposed in the Legislature, which allows local law enforcement to focus on local crimes instead of acting as an agent of the federal immigration agency. This law will keep Framingham safer, as it will allow for our citizens to feel comfortable reporting local crimes. Learn more
I also support a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers, access to identification (such as a driver's license) for all immigrants, and the ability for our immigrant community to access in-state resources such as in-state tuition fees at our state and community colleges and universities. Learn more
I will work with the Legislature and representatives from the surrounding area to ensure that the Rail Trail is completed and connected the larger Bruce Freeman Trail, providing both a new commuter option for Framingham residents as well as recreational value. I would also work with the local residents on exploring funding routes for developing dog parks in Framingham. Learn more
