We need to take an active part in encouraging the youth of Wyandotte County to engage in its future development. I want to ensure as a community, that we are actively engaging the youth to stay in Wyandotte County and work to improve their community, instead of leaving to neighboring states or counties. Kansas is one of the last of 12 states to adopt Medicaid expansion. With greater Medicaid expansion, 150,000 Kansans would have access to care. 90% of Medicaid expansion is funded by the federal government. Benefits of Medicaid expansion would include but are not limited to retaining health care providers, providing healthcare for those who do not have access, and promoting economic growth in our state. As a healthcare provider, I have experience with patients who would greatly benefit from Medicaid expansion I firmly believe this will alleviate the burden many Kansans face. Learn more
