No matter the level of education we achieve, education is the key to success for all persons, by creating opportunities for all. We need to increase our funding for Public Education, teachers and staff, including fully funding Special Education. Climate change is real and the earth deserves justice. Farmers have known environmental justice for centuries, the need to let the earth lay fallow. It is no different for the atmosphere. We must address climate change by moving boldly into renewable energy that don’t pollute, that allow the earth to breathe. Learn more
I will advocate for a “just” tax system. A just tax system unburdens those who make less and would tax at a higher rate those who receive most of the benefits from our economic system. Though there may be some wealthier individuals in the 60th District, most of us are located firmly on the middle and lower rungs of the economic ladder.
