2. A cheap, over-the-counter birth control that women can purchase at any grocery and drug store without a prescription. Learn more

Banning abortion is an excuse people use to feel like they are taking care of an issue (unwanted pregnancies) without actually doing anything to really help the problem. If you REALLY want to protect unborn babies and decrease the number of abortions happening, then we need to prevent the unwanted pregnancies entirely. There are more children that need homes out there already than there are families willing to adopt them. Learn more
People ask me my stance on abortion all the time. My reply is always that I want there to be less of them, but I do not support making abortion illegal and these are my reasons why. Learn more

I will fight any bill that disproportionately targets people based on their religion, skin color, wealth, or sexual orientation. Learn more
Lastly, Oklahoma needs to expunge all cannabis-related crimes from citizen’s backgrounds and state records. Learn more
We should protect our citizens from harm while rehabilitating criminals effectively and humanely. We will achieve this through innovative police practices, addressing community and inmate mental health, and focusing on violent crimes instead of victimless crimes. We need to end the militarization of law enforcement in Oklahoma. Learn more
We need to release non-violent offenders that are being held on cash bail and those being punished for victimless crimes. Oklahoma sentences non-violent offenders an average of 78% longer than other states. Once we make these changes, we will have available funding to improve conditions for inmates and retain quality correctional officers. Learn more
We need more accountability at all levels, and we need to end the failed war on drugs. Learn more

Commercial hemp is a huge opportunity for Oklahomans and we should put a direct focus on that industry as well. Learn more

We need to get as much government out of our children’s education as possible. Ultimately, the state has control over the education of our students, NOT the federal government. I would work towards doing away with the state board of education, which would save us over $16 million dollars a year and give the control back to the individual school districts, teachers, and parents where it belongs. Both the state and federal government need to cease undermining tribal sovereignty. The federal government needs to honor the promises it made through treaties that the tribes would not have their right to self-govern taken away. Learn more

Oklahoma must find innovative ways to make healthcare more affordable and meet our people’s needs. Insurance companies are a major problem, as they negotiate prices behind closed doors and keep them from patients. We need laws to make healthcare prices transparent in Oklahoma, allowing providers to compete for your business. Learn more
We need to give developers a reason to create more affordable housing options. I would offer tax breaks to property owners that have at least 1/4 of their units priced at or below what we would determine to be an affordable level. I would also offer tax breaks to developers who are building more affordable properties. Learn more
A lot of times the government does more harm with its restrictions than good. There are several opportunities where investors were wanting to take old commercial properties that are no longer in use and transform them into residential properties, but zoning issues prevent that from happening. We also have situations wherein areas are zoned for single-family dwellings which prevent the building of add-ons, conversions to duplexes, etc that would allow for additional housing. Lastly, there are towns in our state that are trying to do away with “crash pads” and other roommate-style housing which also affects the ability of these individuals to find quality, affordable housing. Learn more
A lot of times we create laws to protect tenants, but in return make it extremely hard to be a landlord. A lot of landlords do not want to mess with low-rent housing because the risk is now worth the reward. I would like to create a panel of property owners and rental companies to determine which laws need to be addressed to help landlords, but still, protect tenants. Learn more
