I, alongside most Michiganders are furious with the prices and laundry list of taxes every time we fuel up. If elected, I will sponsor legislation that would eliminate Michigan's tax on gas and diesel sales at the pump, and instead increase vehicle registration fees by a proportionate amount, so that electric vehicles are required to pay for their share of wear and tear on our roads. Michigan has passed a slew of laws in this past year aimed to address gun violence. Unfortunately, none of these grant access for law-abiding individuals to protect themselves with permitless concealed carry. The required registration for Michiganders to conceal their weapons does not prevent criminals from committing crime.
