Our civil rights ensure our physical and mental integrity, our safety, our life, liberty, and our pursuit of happiness. They offer protection from discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, color, age, political affiliation, ethnicity, religion, and disability. They also guarantee other individual rights and freedoms such as the right to privacy and the freedoms of thought, speech, religion, press, assembly and movement. Criminal Justice / Public Safety

I believe it is our obligation to care for our military veterans and their families to the best of our abilities as a small token of our appreciation for their countless and sometimes ultimate sacrifices made on our behalves.” Learn more

I believe it is our duty to provide whatever resources are necessary to allow these heroes to continue doing the work they do within our communities. Learn more

We must find ways to honorably care for the most vulnerable among us, including our homeless and near-homeless population. Learn more

I support our military and offer my gratitude to them and to their families for putting themselves in harms way in order to protect our country and preserve our freedoms. Learn more

I fully support our firefighters, our police force, our emergency medical technicians and all other first responders. I consider these brave men and women to be heroes among us, who are doing a tough and too-often thankless job in order to keep us safe. Learn more

Economy

We must continue to support the growth of these industries within LD26 with business-friendly practices, attractive incentives, and growth-driven legislation. Learn more

I believe that continued economic growth is essential to allow for the reduction and eventual elimination of extreme poverty. Learn more

Education

We need to continue to encourage the discovery and development of new innovative solutions to improve and enhance our way of life. With ASU and MCC within our district it provides a great opportunity to encourage the development of K-12 education that will promote the ability for all students to move on to gain a better education equipping the incoming workforce to be prepared to be productive contributors to new and innovative discoveries Learn more

It is of the utmost importance that we address these issues and pay our teachers a salary that is commensurate to the work they do and in line with what they have been promised. This is necessary so we may not only keep the teachers we have, but also increase the number of teachers in the classroom. Environment / Energy

Federal land should be controlled by the Federal government and policies should be in place to protect the environment while making it available for all to enjoy. Learn more

Government Reform

One of our basic rights is to the right to vote. I support the Emancipation Proclamation as well as Women’s Suffrage. I support identification requirements to prevent voter fraud. I support the Electoral College, No National Popular Vote! Learn more

Guns

But in doing so we have to remember that ultimately it is people who are committing crimes against our families, neighbors and friends; not guns, or knives, or vehicles or any other number of weapons. To take weapons out of the hands of law-abiding citizens is not the answer. We have to get them out of the hands of criminals and psychologically unstable individuals no matter what the weapon may be. Learn more

Healthcare

Taking care of one’s health is a personal and family obligation and not the governments. We must make it affordable to all as much as possible and for the poor among us we need to have a system that will make health care a possibility for them also. For those with pre-existing conditions, we need a have a system to protect and supply them with the needed help.
