I will continue to support life-saving surplus military equipment and will seek to fund more Federal grant programs like "Stonegarden" and Community Policing Programs. Learn more

I will work hard to cease the unwanted criticism of Law Enforcement ( especially the type expressed by Escobar against Chief Allen) Learn more

I believe Law Enforcement, forensic departments, prosecutors, judges, juries, our prison system, probation, and parole officers are one system designed to uphold the Rule of Law. However, there are aspects of this system which are failing the American people and jeopardizing the respect this system needs to fulfill its collective responsibilities. Learn more

I believe that we must empower the Law Enforcement officers, deputies, and specialized task forces comprised of multiple agency personnel to fulfill their oath to the Constitution and to the Rule of Law. Learn more

I will stand with the President and Congress who are willing to stand against Islamic terrorist and other enemies who desire to destroy the American way of life. Learn more

I Will work with both sides Democrats, Independents and Republicans to revamp our broken VA System so that it will properly care for our nations HEROS. This care must meet the needs in a way that exceeds the benefit afforded through private healthcare providers. Learn more

Instead, often our Veterans are forced to endure the systematic failures prevalent in our current "Veterans Affair System," similar to those who have experienced in nations where "Socialized Medicine" is the primary   healthcare system. Learn more

Veterans and Military personnel, along with their families, should receive  the finest healthcare, education, and housing our nation can provide. Learn more

Today, our Active Duty military personnel, Reservists, and retired Veterans, along with those who have made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives, deserve our respect and support- this includes caring for them and their families, who often had to endure being separated from their loved ones for extended periods of time. I will work with, not against, the men and women in Law Enforcement, building bridges of relationships between Federal, State, and Local agencies, as well as, our communities. Learn more

Economy

I believe our youth are our future and when " we protect our youth we protect our future!" Learn more

I will spend my first 100 days of my first year visiting companies across America to educate their leaders about the significant reasons to establish operations in our district. Learn more

I will go to Washington, D.C. with the distinct purpose of educating and collaborating with Congressional leaders and our President to help them understand the strategic assets offered to our District and their importance to our nation's economic growth. Learn more

I will fight to see out District obtain high-paying jobs in order to retain skilled talent in El Paso to reverse the "brain-drain" we have been accustomed to. Learn more

I will promote our growing workforce and its readiness. Within several military installations, UTEP, EPCC, Texas Tech Medical School, and on a variety of technical and higher-education campuses, personnel are being equipped with the leadership and technical skills needed to support the growth of scientific, technical, engineering, and math related jobs. I will see to serve on the U.S. House Labor, Commerce, and Industry Committee and or subcommittees to ensure EL Paso is adequately represented in Washington, D.C. as a prospective economic engine for the U.S. and Mexico. Learn more

I will work to see that small business in El Paso can be linked to Federal contacts so these business can grow. prosper, and employ more workers. Learn more

I believe in small business are the vital building blocks of our economy. Additionally, small business, combined with together, are our nation's largest employer. Learn more

I believe El Paso is a strategic location for large companies- especially those supporting large Military installations, Law Enforcement, healthcare, and regional trade development Learn more

I believe that financial education is important for families, individuals, and businesses. I will support programs to teach people how to manage their finances and become prepared for their future. Learn more

I believe in Trade Agreements which support competitive-paying jobs and equitable trade balances. Learn more

I believe that it is essential for for Federal, State, and Local leaders to collaborate on economic development so as to ensure we utilize our resources in the most effective ways possible to increase business tax revenues, thereby reducing the property tax burden of homeowners. Learn more

I will work with leaders of the Small Business Administration to fight for support of small business, work force development, effective coaching and mentoring for entrepreneurs, and small business owners. Learn more

Education

I will stand up for transforming our educational system to enable our youth to compete for jobs, be able to critically think through their career and life decisions, learn what it is to be a citizen and to live with civility, and how to live with civility, and how to contribute to society. I believe our youth need to be educated more efficiently in the facts of our heritage, our nation's history, and the value of Citizenship. Learn more

I believe that our education system (K-12) is not preparing our youth to be critical thinkers; relies way to much on test score, memorization, and regurgitation. Instead it need to be focused on practical steps for their career, such as internships, apprenticeships, and seeking insights into their preferred career path. Learn more

I will fight against teacher's unions and associations whose purpose and mission is to undermine and/or destroy our American way of life. Learn more

I will stand up for educational solutions which meet the vast needs of our youth to learn, prosper, and grow. This includes public education, private education, specialty schools, home schooling, trade schools and institutes, community colleges, and universities. Learn more

I believe all children of American Citizens and legal residents deserve to have a quality education. However, I will not support federal tax dollars being spent to educate illegal and undocumented individuals who are attending our schools. If local districts decide to spend local tax dollars on such an endeavor, I will not oppose their efforts. Learn more

I will fight the efforts of the liberals, socialist, and communist in our nation who have the intent and determination to utilize our education system as a means of controlling and manipulating the minds of our young people toward socialist, communist, and religious extremist agendas. Learn more

I will work hard to ensure that our education system is the finest in the world, that teachers are properly rewarded for their efforts, and that parents have the choice of selecting the best path of education for their children, including but not limited to charter schools, private and religious schools, home schooling, and special education programs. I believe that too much money is being spent on brick and mortar at colleges and universities which leads to an increase in tuition far above the levels needed to sustain operating costs. Learn more

I believe a balance must be struck between tax dollars being used for public education and those which can be used for private education. Learn more

I believe educational institutions, beginning in Middle School through post graduate degree programs, should focus more on the critical thinking and the real world skills needed for students to be successful in the workplace. Learn more

I believe that educational options should exist to encourage individuals to focus on their aspirations for a successful and significant future. Since college is not for everyone, trade schools and technical institutes may be a better option for a percentage of our population. Learn more

I believe the Federal government has proven through its poor management of care for our Veterans and Obamacare that socialized medicine run by the Federal Government is a disaster. Learn more

I believe all Americans should have access to quality healthcare and that this care is best offered through private sector health insurance agencies who can compete for business throughout all 50 states. Learn more

Immigration

I believe in strengthening Border Security to ensure America and El Paso remain safe, facilitating cross-border collaboration, withholding Federal funding from "Sanctuary Cities", and all achieving a 21st century resolution to immigration issues- I support legal immigration Learn more

Law Enforcement is a noble profession and one that demands respect. I have actively supported Law Enforcement her and along the U.S./Mexico border. I praise the virtues of and sacrifices made by Law Enforcement and First Responders every day. Learn more

I will commit to protect law enforcement agencies, while at the same, not tying the hands of DOJ to enforce Federal Law everywhere. Learn more

I will stand with President Trump and Congressional Members who are willing to fight the drug abuse/opioid crisis and to eradicate savage gangs like MS-13. Learn more

I will support the second amendment while remaining open to listen and learn how to keep communities safe from evil people who seek to destroy lives. I believe that firearms do not kill people - instead that people kill people; people need to be held responsible at all levels if they turn a blind eye to those who are mentally ill and/or make threats against society. I believe in strengthening Border Security to ensure America and El Paso remain safe. I will not support chain migration. Each member of a family must qualify for residency or U.S Citizenship or face deportation. Learn more

I believe any city, state, or government unit which declares itself as a "Sanctuary City" should not be entitled to receive any form of Federal Assistance or Funding. Additionally, all government personnel supporting a "Sanctuary City" should be held liable for the impact and cost of all property and personal life for all crimes committed by any criminal therein illegally, and these individuals should be subject to arrest and imprisonment. I believe anyone who is in the United States illegally and has been charged with committing a crime must face justice and when necessary be deported. Learn more

I believe that young people who were brought to the United States illegally by their parents, who are making a positive contribution by being employed or attending college, and who are in good standing with paying appropriate taxes and/or government loan repayments, should be provided a "Fast-Track" opportunity to U.S Citizenship. I believe anyone who is in the United States illegally must demonstrate their commitment to pursue the opportunities for legal residency or citizenship. If opportunities are not available, then these illegal immigrants must leave the United States. Learn more

Social Services

I believe that civic involvement is critical to maintaining civil obedience and the growth of healthy communities. Each citizen is key to the life and depth of their community and our nation. Learn more

I believe the upward trend of divorce, single parenting, abusive home environments, and the decay of moral values has contributed to many of our youth being in danger, which has resulted in increased truancy, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, and the unacceptable high school drop-out rate. Learn more

I will work with Federal, State, and Local agencies to ensure that families are protected from drugs, gangs, abuse, and undue hardships from federal legislation. Learn more

I will work  hard to support and help enlighten, encourage, educate, and engage parents to raise a generation of young people who will be able to lead in the future. Learn more

I believe more common sense input should be given to the boots on the ground levels as to how these funds are used to achieve our goals. Learn more
