I support Parental School Choice. Parent's know what's best for their child. Our children are falling behind in basic academic achievement compared to children from foreign nations. The current system of holding the teachers solely accountable is neither fair nor accurate. Regardless of what is happening in the classroom or the school, if the child’s parents decide that their child would be better served by attending another school, be it public, charter, private or home-schooled, they should have that choice and a voucher should be immediately provided without strings attached. In addition, we must incentivize Trade Schools for those young adults who do not want to attend college. I will fight for the right of every parent to have that choice. Learn more
While we continue to develop green technologies & reduce the cost to energy-output ratio, the left has long attacked the reliable & massive power output of Fossil & Nuclear technologies. Our district is home to Vestas, a wind turbine solutions company, that is the 3rd largest employer in Weld County. Learn more
Red Flag Gun Confiscation laws are unconstitutional! I will NOT compromise on the 2nd Amendment. Learn more
I support the 2nd Amendment. I also am an advocate for the safe operation & education on the use of firearms. The 2nd Amendment is clear: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Learn more
Bridges, Roads & Highways are vital for commerce in our district. The I-25 corridor is a major conduit for all business owners from farmers working to feed our Nation all the way to Denver where products & goods are transported to out of state markets. It is the role of government to provide and maintain safe roads for commerce. Learn more
The I-25 corridor is a well-known portion of the national circuits that sex traffickers use to move their victims. Studies conducted in 2015, 2018 and 2019 indicate that Northern Colorado has some of the highest levels of demand for commercial sex in the state. Sex trafficking is happening in our community and the victims are most commonly the ones criminalized, which adds additional barriers to exiting when it comes to securing housing and employment or returning to school. The men who buy and exploit these women and children should be the ones held accountable. As your Weld County Councilman, I will be an advocate for victims and survivors of this heinous crime and human rights violation. We must enact legislation to prevent and respond to the issue of domestic sex trafficking so that our neighborhoods are safe and so survivor voices are heard. Let’s not wait until it is your sister, son or daughter, or friend. I will stand up for the ignored. Learn more
Many politicians want to negotiate on Mill Levies. I am NOT a politician. I am no different from anyone in the District. In 1992, Colorado voters passed a constitutional amendment called TABOR that gives the job of deciding whether to raise taxes to voters instead of elected officials. TABOR allows us to keep the State from tsunami spending. Proposition CC was a threat and if elected to Weld County Council, I will not support Mill Levy increases without a fight. Learn more
