Get StartedWe must fight back against the relentless attacks on reproductive rights because politicians don’t belong in the doctor’s office. In Congress, I’ll always stand up for women, work to federally codify Roe, end the cruel abortion bans, and restore our freedoms. Learn more
In Congress, I will be a steadfast voice for our nation’s heroes and military families. I will work to expand healthcare access to ensure veterans who fought for our country receive the life-saving care they need and deserve, increase mental health services to support veterans, active duty members, and their families at home and abroad, and champion greater benefits and opportunities for returning service members. Building a stable, inclusive, and resilient economy that works for everyone and provides opportunity for all starts with investing in people and our communities. Too often, workers face impossible choices and obstacles when they’re up against the rising cost of childcare, caregiving responsibilities for a sick family member, or lacking accommodations, yet want to work. By investing in childcare, paid family and medical leave, and safe, healthy workplaces, we can grow our economy and build a strong middle class. Learn more
I also believe Congress must support our small businesses and entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the resources needed to attract and retain a high-quality workforce and create good, family-sustaining jobs. Learn more
As your voice in Congress, I will work to lower costs, push to make prescriptions and housing more affordable, and take on the greedy corporations that are price gouging Pinellas families and seniors, so people have more money in their pockets. Learn more
Today, Florida ranks nearly last in the nation for teacher pay and faces a worsening teacher shortage as a result of far-right lawmakers’ dangerous assault on public education. Similarly, an estimated 2.7 million Floridians have outstanding student loan debt totaling more than 103 billion. This crushing reality means more barriers to opportunity, which is catastrophic for our long-term future. We must address these urgent issues and invest in public education – from early childhood to K-12 to higher education to workforce development and skills training. We have a responsibility to ensure our students are prepared to compete in today’s global economy. When we invest in education, the possibilities for our community, state, and country are truly limitless. Learn more
The climate crisis isn’t some far off issue that will hurt our communities decades from now – it’s here now, whether we like it or not, and we must tackle it with the urgency it demands. We can look no further than Red Tide to see the crisis’s harmful impacts, and yet, are currently represented by someone who denies that the problem even exists. For me, this is about protecting the community that raised me and that I love, and delivering for the people of Pinellas. Learn more
Wealthy campaign donors and corporate special interests have an outsized influence over our politics, which poses a threat to our democracy. Citizens United was a major step backward, letting big corporations and the richest individuals spend unlimited amounts of money on U.S. Elections without transparency and accountability. It’s long past time for Congress to enact comprehensive campaign finance reform to crack down on dark money and start restoring trust in government. Our elections shouldn’t be bought by the highest bidder – I’ll always work for the people of Pinellas County, not corporate special interests. Learn more
Public trust is understandably low in both the physical and digital economy, and it’s imperative that the U.S. Take steps now before we fall behind globally. Blockchain technology and digital assets, such as cryptocurrency, offer significant opportunities for technological innovation. Such technology presents opportunities for Americans to pursue new avenues of financial security, and Congress holds a responsibility to modernize our regulatory framework while ensuring consumers and our environment are protected. Doing so will help foster innovation, safeguard national security, and improve economic outcomes for Americans. Learn more
In Congress, I will stand up to the gun lobby and work to pass commonsense gun safety laws, including safe storage of firearms, universal background checks, and red flag laws to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous individuals. Learn more
In Congress, I’ll stand up to Big Pharma to rein in prescription drug prices, protect and expand the Affordable Care Act, and cap the out-of-pocket costs working people have to pay. I’ll work with anyone, of either party, who is willing to come to the table to talk solutions and ensure our families and neighbors can access high-quality, affordable healthcare. Learn more
The American people deserve an immigration system that works and enhances our security. In Congress, I will work to fix our immigration system and deliver the resources that border and immigration personnel need. More than ever, we need leaders who are focused on solutions. Learn more
Upgrading our roads and bridges not only improves safety and traffic flow for residents, but also supports the efficient movement of goods and services that is essential for a robust economy. Modernizing water, sewer, and power systems safeguards public health and prepares our region for future growth. And expanding public transit options provides affordable, accessible transportation that enhances quality of life and reduces environmental impact. Infrastructure investments have a multiplier effect, generating economic activity and the creation of good-paying job opportunities. Learn more
Social Security and Medicare are critically important programs that millions of retirees and people with disabilities rely on, and yet, their future is uncertain thanks to MAGA Republicans eager to privatize and cut benefits. In Congress, I’ll stand up to attempts to gut these lifelines and work to protect and expand Social Security and Medicare because the American people should know they will be there when they need them most. As someone who helped form a union in the workplace, I will be a proud, reliable champion for workers’ rights in Congress. Unions are essential to ensuring all workers can organize and collectively bargain for the fair pay, good benefits, safe working conditions, and secure retirement they deserve – and creating vibrant, more resilient communities.
