Get StartedMy advocacy on behalf of victims of abuse started me on this journey. I will sponsor legislation for a retroactive look back window for victims of childhood related sexual assault that have timed out of their opportunity to seek justice as a result of Pennsylvania's archaic laws. All victims deserve to be heard and have their day in court. Learn more
One way that we can reignite our economy here in Pennsylvania is through the legalization of recreational marijuana. The growth of the cannabis economy presents opportunities for greater job creation, more tax revenue, and better patient care. States that have legalized marijuana have seen increased revenue from tourism. Learn more
Teacher minimum salaries need to be incrementally increased to $45000, not only to ensure financial stability, but to attract and retain quality teachers. Too many new teachers start at one school only to leave within the first few years in search of a higher salary, leaving schools and students stressed. We must continue to support our veteran teachers ensuring that their wages also continue to rise. Teachers must be allowed to bargain, strike and donate without retribution. This ability guarantees the right of teachers to not be taken advantage of, it also empowers teachers to fight for the best interest for their students. I believe private means private, taxpayers should not be paying for private schools. I fully support reform to end the overpayments of funds to Cyber and Charter schools. Learn more
I believe the 2nd amendment is as important as the first. As a veteran, I understand the importance of defending oneself. I disagree with many members of my own party that we should be banning certain types of weapons. I particularly do not care for the word ban in any free society. I would like to see more education for military style weapons. Hunting is an essential part of many Pennsylvanians livelihoods, whether it is to put food on the table or hunting for sport. I fully support the 2nd, but feel that we must have an open dialogue on gun safety. Learn more
Unions are the backbone of our middle class, they ensure that workers' voices are being heard. In these days of a Covid-19, workers need to know that they are protected from illness or death. While there are shortages in workers, safety must remain a top priority. I will fight to end the push for the union busting legislation known as Right to Work. Right to Work does not help, protect or elevate workers, it just gives big corporations leeway to treat their employees unfairly and strip away worker rights to collective bargaining. I was raised on American Steel and will always be loyal to the labor movement. Learn more
