Get StartedMy top priorities related to health are: reproductive, justice, school-based health clinics, healthy aging programming and access to fresh and affordable food. Too many women of color have died delivering their babies. More legislation is required to achieve reproductive justice such as expanding funding for Doula training and allowing for medicaid reimbursement for their services. We must also provide funding for every school to have a clinic with a qualified provider to provide health and wellness programming to students. Learn more
We must address the deadly abuse of power used by police nationally and globally. A laser-focused on protecting the residents of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights from domestic, community, and police violence is the priority. Learn more
My top economic priorities are ensuring that the residents of the 56th Assembly District have equal opportunity to achieve economic success, sustainability, and financial security. I am actively advocating for the following housing policies to ensure healthy living throughout the district: 3 billion from the federal government to fund Homeless Assistance Grants, Tenant-Based Rental Assistance, Project-Based Rental Assistance, Public Housing Operating Funds, and Public Housing Capital Grants. Permanent supportive housing and “Housing First” policies that provide the growing number of street homelessness with permanent and supportive housing. Learn more
I am partnering with the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and the NAACP’s NextGen program to create a pathway to homeownership through their “House Then The Car” program, designed to tap in to the 1.7 Million purchasing power of millennials to increase homeownership in the African American community.
