Get StartedAdditionally, I’ll stand up against any attempts to strip women of their right to make their own health care choices. The decisions any woman makes about her healthcare and her body is hers – and hers alone. I will fight to protect that right. What’s more, I'll defend women’s access to the health care services they need, and I’ll stand up against extreme right-wing attacks on Planned Parenthood, which thousands of women in New Jersey solely rely on for comprehensive health services. Recreational marijuana should be legal, and as the Democratic nominee I will unequivocally support the cannabis legalization referendum question on the November ballot. Learn more
I will continue to advocate for policies such as the America’s College Promise Act, a bill I helped introduce in the U.S. Senate to provide free community college – creating an affordable pathway for students to attain a four-year degree in an increasingly competitive job market. It is essential that students of all ages that wish to use education to improve their circumstances have the ability to do so. Free community college provides that pathway, while stimulating the economy with skilled labor that will remain local and contribute to our communities. Learn more
From pre-kindergarten to college, children and young adults deserve an education system that works in their best interest to further their dreams. I will not rest until all students in South Jersey have the same access to educational opportunities and resources that I did. Learn more
We’ve all seen the devastating effects climate change has had on our communities and our state economy. Communities in South Jersey are still reeling from the effects of SuperStorm Sandy almost a decade later. We cannot continue to deny the existence of climate change, at the detriment of our shoreline – which is vital to South Jersey’s economy – and our residents’ livelihoods. We can't wait for the next Hurricane Sandy to hit for us to start acting and protect our beaches. We need to be proactive with protecting our local economy, our communities, and our environment for the long-run. Learn more
If elected, I'll fight to restore the electoral system to the people it was built to protect - everyday citizens, not billion-dollar corporations hiding behind shadowy Super PACs. I am proud to pledge not to accept any corporate PAC money in the primary election, and am committed to maintaining this pledge through the general if I am the Democratic nominee. Adequate universal healthcare is a right, not a privilege. America must rise to the occasion, as other wealthy industrialized nations have, to provide healthcare for every citizen. A single-government plan to which every American has access is the most efficient and essential path forward, and a majority of Americans agree. Learn more

We must also ensure that DREAMers are no longer used as political pawns by an administration that seeks to implement far-right immigration policies to the detriment of our nation. DREAMers are our friends, our family members, and our colleagues. They are dedicated and loyal members of our community who pay taxes, enrich our society, and in many cases, serve bravely in our Armed Forces. I stand with our DREAMers and, when elected, will work tirelessly to ensure that they are given the respect they deserve with a real pathway to citizenship. Learn more
With the lives and livelihood of so many families at stake, Congress has exceeded its deadline to pass comprehensive immigration reform and end its piecemeal approach to fixing our immigration system. Doing so will bring relief to millions of immigrants, help our business communities plan for the future, and protect our country’s borders. Learn more
Additionally, approving a robust infrastructure plan must be a priority in Congress. Not only would it create jobs in the region, but it would improve our bridge, roads, and thoroughfares, making New Jersey a better place for companies and startups – who rely on robust transportation networks to support commerce – to locate.
